These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the AI-powered resume tailoring service ("Service") provided by CVClever ("CVClever", "we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Description of the Service

CVClever rewrites and reformats the resume content you submit so that it better matches a specific job description, using third-party large language models. Outputs are produced automatically and may contain errors, omissions, or misleading statements.

2. Your responsibilities

• You may only submit resume content and job descriptions that you have the right to submit and process.
• You will not upload unlawful, infringing, harmful content, or content that violates the rights of others.
• You will not use the Service to fabricate qualifications, misrepresent identity, or commit fraud against employers.
• You are responsible for the security of your account and for actions taken under it.
• You confirm that you are at least 16 years old.

3. AI output and disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We make no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of any generated resume, cover letter, or ATS analysis. AI output is not a substitute for professional (legal, HR, financial, etc.) advice. You are solely responsible for reviewing every output before you use it in a real application, and for any decision based on it. CVClever is not responsible for hiring outcomes.

4. Payments and subscription

Paid plans are processed by our Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy. Lemon Squeezy handles billing, tax collection, payment methods, and customer receipts under its own terms. We do not store your card details. Your subscription auto-renews at the published price until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard or via Lemon Squeezy; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

5. Refunds

Subscriptions are non-refundable. If you cancel, you keep access for the remainder of the billing period you have already paid for. No partial refunds are issued for unused time within an active period.

6. Intellectual property

You retain ownership of the resume content and job descriptions you submit, and of the tailored output we generate for you. CVClever retains all rights to its software, brand, design, and underlying systems. You may not copy, resell, or redistribute the Service.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CVClever is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service, the accuracy of any output, or loss of data. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold CVClever harmless from any claim, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of the Service, the content you submit, or your breach of these Terms.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close your account, without notice, if you breach these Terms or misuse the Service. You may stop using the Service or delete your account at any time. Some provisions of these Terms survive termination.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will give reasonable notice of material changes. Continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the new Terms.
